Hi, I am Forrest Sheng Bao. I am current a graduate student working on my Ph.D. on Computer Science and M.Sc. on Electrical Engineering. I began to use Python since 2007. I like Python, for its simple but elegant syntax. I can't love any other programming languages more than Python. Thanks to SciPy, I can run my computing on Python. Before using SciPy, I have used several others, like MATLAB, SciLAB, Octave. But once I experienced Python, I abandoned them all! Python saves me a lot of time on programming.

I run Python on Ubuntu Linux. So it's quite easy to install Scipy, Numpy and Matplotlib. After that, it's done! Much easier than deploying other numerical computing environments, especially commercial ones. I like Click-and-run and out-of-the-box.
